2 JUNE is Edward Elgar's Birthday

Although Sir Edward Elgar had no formal composition training, he was the most famous English composer of orchestral music during the late 19th century. 

Elgar's most significant works are The Dream of Gerontius and Pomp and Circumstance Marches.

The latter has the tune sung to the words "Land of Hope and Glory", and the audience always joins in singing it at the Last Night of the Proms.

Kanye West is an American producer, rapper, and fashion designer who parlayed his production success in the late 1990s and early 2000s into a career as a popular, critically acclaimed solo artist. He has influenced the 21st-century development of mainstream hip-hop and popular music.

West has won 22 Grammy Awards, making him one of the most awarded artists ever.

8 JUNE is Robert Schumann's Birthday

Robert Schumann was a German composer, pianist, and influential music critic. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of the Romantic era. He wrote many of his best-known piano pieces for his wife, Clara Schumann. Even Clara herself was an established pianist and musical prodigy.
